TEMPO.CO, Bandung - The Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) plans to open four offices to maximize business supervision in several major cities in Indonesia. The areas are chosen since their economy keeps growing yet there is a lack of supervision in their business competition.
"KPPU indeed plans to open new branch offices. We consider to open the office in Bandung, Palembang, Riau and Semarang," KPPU chairman Muhammad Syarkawi Rauf said in Bandung on Friday, June 2.
Syarkawi appraised that there are considerable business opportunities in the four areas. He added that due to their increasing business dynamics, KPPU prioritizes to open branch offices in these areas to supervise their business transactions.
"We hope that this plan can be realized by the end of this year. All four offices are planned to open at the same time, but if it is not possible, we prioritize Semarang and Bandung," he said.
