TEMPO.CO, Pamekasan - The Batik Village in Klampar Village, Proppo Sub-district, Pamekasan Regency, East Java, is still in preparation for launch, but it seems that it can be an alternative tourist destination in the 2018 year-end holiday season.
“The type of the tour is cultural tourism, which is the written batik by Pamekasan residents,” said Bambang Edy Suprapto, Head of the Department of Industry and Trade at Pamekasan Regency, Sunday, November 25.
The Pamekasan Regent Baddrut Tamam had conducted a sudden inspection of the new building construction of batik village on Thursday, November 22.
“I want the nuances of Pamekasan Batik to be highlighted so that it will be more famous,” said Baddrut Tamam.
Baddrut wanted the location of Kampung Batik to be more beautified so that it would attract tourists. The gazebo around the location, he requested it to be designed like a typical Madura house, Tanean Lanjhang.
“So the nuances of Madura will also be felt. And people come here, not only to shop for batik but also to enjoy the culture of Madura,” Baddrut said.
Baddrut advised that the management of Batik Village must be professional so that it can have a positive impact on the economic development of the surrounding community.
The management will be handed over to Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). “This Batik Village tourism is owned by the village, we will hand over the management to the village. Currently, the village must have BUMDes,” Bambang said.
The Pamekasan regency administration will assist in completing the needs of physical facilities and structuring the location according to the master plan of activities that have been determined by the consultant. The Batik Village is located about 7 kilometers to the west of the Pamekasan City.
