TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Senior singer and model Titi Qadarsih dies at the age of 73 on Monday, October 22.
“Innalilllahi wainnaillahi radjiun. Our friend, senior singer and model Titi Qadarsih has passed away on the way back to her home in Cinangka, Pondok Cabe. Hopefully her soul will be accepted by Allah SWT. Amen,” a circulating message reads.
The news was confirmed by Indra Qadarsih, Titi’s son, on his Instagram account. The cause of death, meanwhile, remains unknown.
During her time, Titi Qadarsih was known as a model, singer, actress, fashion stylist, and cast. She was born in Pare, Kediri, East Java. She is also known as a dubber for several films.
Titi was a member of Teater Popular and Teater Koma groups. She was also mentioned as the most expensive dubber in the country.
Titi entered the world of film through a small role in the Hancurnya Petualangan (Destruction of Adventure) and Di Balik Cahaya Gemerlapan (Behind the Sparkling Light) movies. As a singer, Titi Qadarsih had a duet with popular late singer Gombloh.
