TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's 'Game of Thrones' speech in the IMF-World Bank annual meetings garnered quite the attention with one compliment coming from President of the World Bank Jim Yong Kim.

"I have to admit it, when I heard the response of President Joko Widodo's speech, I thought to myself that we should just go home because we could not provide a better speech than that," jokingly said World Bank President Jim Yong Kim at Nusa Dua, Bali on Friday, October 12, 2018.

Jim Yong Kim also admired Indonesia's preparation upon hosting the IMF-World Bank 2018 annual meetings that was well-prepared despite the unfortunate disaster that struck Central Sulawesi and Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

"We stand with Indonesia. We entirely support the government and the Indonesian people," said Jim Yong Kim.

President Jokowi previously compared the current global economy to the hit TV series Game of Thrones. "There's the evil winter that aims to destroy the world, covering it with ice and destruction," Jokowi said in his address at the Plennary Meeting, Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Friday, October 12, 2018.
