TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An accident occurred on early Thursday, October 4 between a Transjakarta bus and a truck with the plate number B 9974 VDA near the Pertamina gas station on Jl. Warung Jati Barat, South Jakarta.
The Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Management Center (TMC) reported the accident on Jl. Warung Jati heading to Mampang was currently under police investigation.
No immediate report on casualty and material loses due to the accident which occurred at around 4.30 a.m. reported.
The Transjakarta bus hit the road separator and destroyed its front bumper, while the truck’s front window cracked and damaged after hitting the back of the bus.
The TMC also reported a Transjakarta bus rolled over on Jl. DI Panjaitan, East Jakarta heading to Cempaka Putih.
Both accidents were added to the long list of Transjakarta bus accidents. Earlier, the bus operator Transjakarta management said it had conducted the evaluation in the wake of several traffic accidents of its buses.
Transjakarta spokesperson Wibowo said on Tuesday, September 25 that the investigation on the previous single accident of Transjakarta bus on Jl. Kyai Tapa, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta that hit the road separator and destroyed the pedestrian bridge of Sumber Waras bus stop was still underway.
Wibowo reluctant to further comment on the driver of Transjakarta bus who involved in the accidents. He affirmed the company had well followed the procedure of each recruitment and operational standard for the bus driver.
