TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A pilot Bangladesh Airline pilot with the initial 'GSH' and a Transportation Ministry state-employee known as 'BC' were arrested by Metro Jaya Police at the Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport for an alleged drug abuse.
"A special investigation team from the Metro Jaya Police reported the drug bust involving a foreign and domestic pilot with the initials GSH and BC. Each a Regent pilot, a Bangladeshi airline, a state-employee of the Air Transportation Department and pilot of Batik Air," said Metro Jaya Police Spokesman Grand Comm. Argo Yuwono on August 4, 2018.
As Argo explained, BC is responsible for graduating Indonesian pilots in their routine six-month pilot certification test.
Both men were arrested at the entrance of the Angkasa Pura II VIP parking lot at the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport on Thursday, August 2, 2018. The Police confiscated 0.8 grams of methamphetamine from the men and two smartphones for investigation purposes.
The Police then proceeded with the investigation by examining BC's house in East Jakarta and GSH's house in South Jakarta. The Police confiscated several pieces of evidence linking the men to drug abuse activities such as three glass pipettes, a glass bong, three used aluminum foils, a lighter, and several other items used to consume methamphetamine.
