TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno received an invitation to speak in a forum of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group (C40). The meeting will be held in the United States on June 27, 2018.
"I plan to visit America after Eid, I received an invitation [for an event] about resilience cities," Sandiaga said at the City Hall today, May 11.
C40 members are 90 of the world's delta cities located near rivers or oceans. Sandiaga said the forum was established by former New York Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, in a bid to anticipate climate change.

Sandiaga said Jakarta is a not a very active member of the C40. He wants the capital to play more parts in the international activities.

However, Sandiaga could not say for sure whether he will attend the event on June 27.
