TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government is targeting to start operating seven new sections of toll roads this month. Relevant institutions are expected to carry out feasibility tests soon.
Herry Trisaputra Zuna, head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) said here on Wednesday that the feasibility tests will involve several ministries including the Public Works and Public Housing Ministry, Transportation Ministry, and the Traffic Police.
The evaluation and feasibility tests will cover—among others—technical, operational, as well as administrative and safety aspects.
The toll roads with lanes to be evaluated include Solo-Ngawi, the Bogor Ring Road, the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi Toll (MKTT), and the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll.
"Reports over the evaluation plan had been submitted in April to Public Works Minister Basuki Hadimuljono," said.
