TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - There are tons of running events these days that can be differentiated by its distance or such as a 5K, 10K, 15K, marathon, ultra-marathon, and then there’s the color run. The Color Run is unique because of its theme that will have runners going through a cloud of colors during certain stages of the run.
Color run participants are required to run a 5-kilometer route. Even though it is only 5km, there are several things you need to prepare before entering yourself into a Color Run event.
-Physical Preparations
For those of you who have not tried exercising but is interested in participating in a color run event, you would need to at least prepare your body a month before the show starts. It doesn’t need to be every day but it is suggested to be done 3-4 times each month.
-Clothes and Shoes
Always wear clothes that are able to wick sweat to maintain your comfort throughout the run and most Importantly is to wear running shoes that are comfortable from the beginning to the end of the run.
-Eat Right
Avoid consuming large meals since the day before the event, up to several hours heading to the event. Consume whole wheat bread, mineral water, and fruits.
-Enjoy It
All of the preparations, all the time that was taken to decide which outfit you plan to wear won’t mean a thing if you don’t enjoy the event.
