TEMPO.CO, Bogor - The Bogor Police arrested three robbers who looked for victims on Facebook. Herawati, the victim, was found dead at her home in Bogor, West Java.
"The victim's possessions such as a laptop, jewelry, mobile phone, and cash were stolen," Bogor Police's criminal investigation unit Chief Adj. Comr. Bimantoro Kurniawan told reporters on Wednesday, October 25.
The three robbers are Daud Dwi Sanjaya (21), Baskoro Bimo Pamungkas (24), and Reski Andriansah (20). The young men were arrested in Pamulang, Depok, West Java.
"It took us 24 hours to capture the murder/robbery suspects," he said.
To the police, Baskoro said they deliberately contacted Herawati through Facebook.
"After getting to know her on Facebook, Baskoro and the victim arranged to meet up. She was picked up by the robbers at her workplace," Bimantoro explained.
Herawati was the head of an accessories store at Lippo Mall Ekalos Bogor. Her body was found in the bushes on Monday morning, October 23. There were wounds on her head and face, and on her neck were strangulation marks.
The police questioned witnesses and the victim's workmates, as well as look at footages recorded by security cameras in the shopping center where the victim worked.
"The security camera footages show that the victim was picked up by three unknown men riding a Toyota Avanza car; license plate number B 2594 SKD," Bimantoro said.
