TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat reminded all civil servants (PNS) in Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) that public services in the capital city must be free of illegal levies.
"I remind all civil servants in Jakarta that public services must be free of any kinds of illegal levies. Civil servants have to remember this and implement this practice," Djarot said in Central Jakarta on Friday, Oct. 13.
In order to eradicate any practices of illegal levies, he continued, his administration keeps on developing a wide range of systems of public services to the people. These systems are under continuous improvement to cut any possibilities of illegal levies, he said.
He explained that the systems of public services include the implementation of non-cash transaction, One-Stop Integrated Service (PTSP), and Public Service Mall. “We are committed to provide simple, transparent, and speedy public services,” he stated.
In addition, he urged the society to take part in supervising the implementation of public services and to report any practices of illegal levies.
