TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bhayangkara FC are six matches away from winning Liga 1 this year as they continue to top the table.
“There are six matches remaining before the season ends with a four-point advantage over the closest rivals Bali United,” Bhayangkara FC coach Simon McMenemy said in Bekasi today.
Therefore, McMenemy has told his players to stay focused in the remaining games. The Guardian will play away at Barito Putra, home against PSM Makassar and away at Madura United, among others.
The Scotsman said that the games are like finals that must be taken seriously by Indra Kahfi & Co.
As for the match against Barito on Sunday, Bhayangkara also aim to take revenge since they were defeated in the previous encounter 0-1 at their home ground, Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi.
Bhayangkara, however, lose central midfielder Wahyu Subo Seto to injury. “Zulfianfi and M. Ichsan are his backups,” he said.
Bhayangkara FC midfielder is confident his team will come out the winner in Banjarmasin. “We are getting more and more cohesive and win want to become champions. So we want to play our best and win the game,” he said.
