Indonesia Through to AFF Cup Semis after 8-0 Hammering of Brunei

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia national team goes through to the semifinals of the AFF U-18 Youth Championship after an 8-0 hammering of Brunei yesterday at Thuwunn Stadium, Myanmar.
Indonesia scored through Rafli Nursalim (1, 42, 45+2), Egy Maulana Vikri (18, 22), Witan Sulaiman (41, 67) and Hanis Saghara (68).
The Young Garuda ended the group stage in the first position after Myanmar beat Vietnam 2-1, putting Myanmar in the second place of Group B.
Myanmar and Vietnam had the same points and goal difference (9 points and 14 goal difference) but the former are through to the semis based on head-to-head advantage.
Indonesia, that also garnered 9 points, topped the group due to a superior goal difference with 15.
Indonesia U-19 will play Thailand in the semifinals on Friday.
