TEMPO.CO, London - Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi launched the online consulate service at the Indonesian Embassy in London, Thursday.
The minister said the service, a first of its kind for Indonesian embassies in the world, will optimize the consulate's efforts in providing services and protection for Indonesians living in the UK.
"Hopefully this online service format will facilitate Indonesians living abroad," she said.
The Indonesian Ambassador for the UK Rizal Sukma said the service can also be used by British people with interests in Indonesia.
The London Embassy's head of protocol and consular affairs Gulfan Afero, said the features provided are displayed through integrated and user-friendly 11 applications.
"Indonesians or Britons planning to get consular services can fill forms online and schedule their visit to the Embassy," said Gulfan
