TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police chief General Tito Karnavian will pay a visit to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today to discuss the latest development in the probe of an acid attack against KPK senior investigator Novel Baswedan.
“I will visit the KPK at two in the afternoon with the team handling [Novel’s case,” Tito said in Jakarta today.

Tito promised that he will reveal more after his meeting with the KPK. “I will give an official release there,” he said.
As of now, the police could yet to crack down on the perpetrators of the attack against Novel Baswedan. The KPK senior investigator was attacked with hydrochloric acid by two unidentified persons on April 11, leaving him with serious injuries to his eyes.

Novel is currently being treated in Singapore. In an interview with foreign media TIME, he revealed the alleged involvement of a general—top police officer—in the recent attack against him.
Jakarta Metro Police which investigates the Novel Baswedan case have questioned four alleged suspects. They, however, have been released because they apparently had strong alibis.
