TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as 30 carmakers that are members of the Association of Indonesia Automotive Industry (Gaikindo) will be joining the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) at Indonesia Convention Exhibition, BSD City, Tangerang, which will be held from August 10 to 20.
Twenty-two carmakers will showcase their latest passenger cars: Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Daihatsu, Datsun, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, MINI, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Renault, Suzuki, Tata Motors, Mercedes-Benz, Wuling, Toyota, VW and Volvo. Eight commercial vehicles manufacturers will also join the show, namely DFSK, FAW, Hino, Hyundai Commercial, Isuzu, Mitsubishi FUSO, Tata Motors and UD Truck.
“GIIAS is a world-class auto show series that has consistently showcase auto products and the latest technology adopted by global auto industry,” Gaikindo chairman Yohanes Nangoi said yesterday on the sidelines of a press conference at Century Park Hotel in South Jakarta.
GIIAS 2017 chief organizing committee Rizwan Alamsjah said that Gaikindo continues to encourage carmakers to bring various products with the latest technology to the auto show. “The launch of new products of participants will catch the eyes of visitors,” he said.
