TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as 103 schools in the capital will be renovated totally this year by spending Rp 1.5 trillion through the 2017 City Budget (APBD).
Jakarta Education Dept. Head, Sopan Adriyanto said total renovation towards school has entered auction stage in Jakarta Goods and Services Procurement Agency (BPPBJ). It is targeted will be complete by the end of February.
"This year, there will be 103 schools that will be renovated. That is by spending Rp 1.5 trillion," he expressed, Saturday (1/28).
The renovation will be conducted by tearing down the existing building and then rebuilt it again. During renovation, the learning and teaching activity (KBM) will be moved to the nearest school.
"Students have not been moved indeed, because we're still looking for the school building," he told.
In the meantime, his dept. will also conduct heavy renovation towards 143 schools. 55 of them that had cancelled will be re-continued this year. Rp 240 billion has been prepared to realize it.
"But we have to await the review results in the field in advance, whether it will be upgraded to total renovation or not," he finished.
