Vessel Carrying Cement Catches Fire at Tanjung Priok Seaport

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A vessel carrying named MV. Divine Success was caught on fire at the dock 115 Port of Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, at around 18:10 pm, (16/9).
When it was caught on fire, the ship was reported to be loading and unloading of the cement.
Head of Public Relations of Jakarta Police Commissioner Awi Setiyono, said the fire was detected coming from the ship's engine room.
"But the cause of the fire is not yet known," he said by telephone on Friday.
To extinguish the fire, three ships owned by Pelindo II pilot assisted five fire engines at the scene.
Meanwhile, Awi said security measure in the vicinity of the fire was carried out by officers of the four water police boat and two boats from the Sea and Coast Guard Unit.
The process of extinction was running smoothly and there were no casualties in the incident. However, losses due to the fire is not yet known.
"The fire is now extinguished," Awi added.
