TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Police have today officially detained the Indonesian Film Artists Association (Parfi) chairman Gatot Brajamusti and his wife Dewi Aminah for meth possession. “Both are officially detained starting today,” said NTB Police chief Brigadier General Umar Septono in Mataram, Thursday, September 1, 2016.
Gatot and Dewi have officially been detained by NTB Police after being handed over by the investigators of Mataram Police Precinct who had named them as suspects on Wednesday, August 31. Both are charged with violating article 112, paragraph 1 and article 127, paragraph 1, point a of Law No 35/2009 on Narcotics. They have been named as suspects after police found indication of drug possession.
On the evidence, NTB Police chief said his office continues to develop information from the suspects and other witnesses. Gatot and his wife were arrested Sunday with six others with the intials of YY, DN, RN and RZ (singer Reza Artamevia) at a hotel room in Mataram.
The National Police Headquarters joint team together with Mataram and West Lombok Police Precinct seized two small packages of crystal meth weighing 0.98g and 0.68g. Police also confiscated inhalation devices.
