TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Head of Pasar Senen station Arif Nugroho said that at least 11,000 passengers arrived at the station on Sunday morning and this figure is expected to increase into 22,000 passengers.
"The figure is predicted based on the number of ticket sales,” Nugroho said at Pasar Senen station on Sunday (10/7).
During this year’s Eid holiday season, Nugroho added, state-owned train operator PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has provided at least 33 departures every day.
In the meantime, the maximum number of passengers that are carried by trains is 24,000 passengers.
He added that some passengers get off at Jatinegara station.
"So it is estimated that the number of passengers that will get of at Pasar Senen station can reach 22,000 passengers,” he added.
Nugoroho added that the number of arrival would continue to add because there will be more trains arriving from 00:00 until 5 am on Monday.
"There are still 13 trains that will arrive at Pasar Senen station,” he added.
Until 10:34 am on Sunday with the last train at 09:54, PT KAI has recorded that the number of passengers that arrived at Pasar Senen station reached 13,624 passengers, including 9,875 passengers on regular trains and 3,749 passengers on additional trains.
