South Korea to Invest Rp 250 Trillion in Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Franky Sibarani, Chairman of the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) said that South Korea has committed to invest US$18 billion (around Rp. 250 trillion) in Indonesia

"This shows Korean investors' confidence on the investment climate in Indonesia," Franky said in a written statement on Monday, May 16, 2016.

According to Franky, investors managed to gain their confidence following various reformations in the investment sector that have been accomplished by the government.

The investment will cover several sectors, including the power sector, renewable energy, animal feed industry, film industry, shoes industry, and pharmacy.
