TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - What does consumers mostly want from a luxury sedan? Is it the sophisticated comfort, an engine rated at hundreds of horsepower, the high speed or an elegant exterior? BMW Group Indonesia answers these questions by launching its newest car All New 7 Series at Grand Indonesia earlier this month.
All New 7 Series is claimed as the seventh generation of the most luxury sedans marketed by the Germany automotive company since 1979. The vehicle is also the ninth launched in Indonesia this year.
President Director of BMW group Indonesia, Karen Lim says the sumptuous sensation of the All New Seri 7 lays on the combination of comfort and dynamic design. Senior Vice President of BMW Group Design, Adryan van Hooydonk on the other hand, says that it is the latest technology and details that made the car luxurious.
The most unique feature of the car is the BMW Touch Command, which is a 7-inch tablet computer from which the passenger can operate all comfort features in the car. The tablet is attachable to the middle console of the rear passenger seat and detachable to be brought outside the vehicle.
“The device can even connects to the internet,” Dennis A. Kadaruskan, Product Planning manager of BMW Group Indonesia, said.
In Indonesia, All New Seri 7 is launched in two variants namely 740Li Executive that is tagged with Rp2.089 billion and BMW 740Li Pure Excellence that is tagged with Rp2.499 billion off the road.
