Free Homecoming Program Gets Good Response

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The free homecoming program by the Transportation Ministry received a good response from the society, particularly the free motorbike homecoming program by the Train Directorate General.

“In total, we have had 8,800 motorbikes registered for Eid program," said Head of Lega and PR Unit of the Directorate General, Joice.

Motorbike homecoming program is set to depart on July 11-15, heading Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang Tawang, Kroya, Kutoarjo, Lempuyangan, and Solo Jebres Station. Participants, not only their motorbikes, can also sign up for a free ticket to their hometown.

Last year, the ministry opened up similar program, targeting 6,000 motorbikes. There were only 4,000 applicants. This year’s increase on number, according to Joice, is because its early socialization that started on June 15, 2015.
