TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bezel-less or thin frame phone is gaining more and more attention as such design allows jumbo screens to fit into smaller phone body. Sharp Corporation, an electronic manufacturing company based in Osaka, Japan seems eager to catch up with the trend by launching its latest Sharp Aquos Crystal SH825Wi.
“Unlike other smartphones in general, bezel-free crystal screen of the Sharp Aquos Crystal SH825Wi has wider screen and produce sharp images. With 5-inch screen, we believe that this phone will become a choice for wide-screen phone fans,” said Fumihiro Irie, President Director of PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia in the launching event on May 28.
The phone’s LCD screen – and almost bezel-less—combines Sharp’s two innovations, thin LCD panel and optical lens tech. As for the audio, Sharp has planted Direct Wave Receiver that enables whole screen surfaces to produce sounds.
An eight megapixel rear camera and 1.2 megapixel fron camera are located on the bottom of the phone body to furnish edge-to-edge appearance. The Night Shot feature is capable to blend pictures taken with flash and without flash to produce brighter photos under the minimum lighting.
The phone runs of Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. It supports that currently growing in Indonesia. Sharp Aquos Crystal SH825Wi supports 4G LTE network and was launched at the price of Rp3.9 million.
Junichi Iwaki, Unit Deputy General Manager, Personal Communication Systems Unit 3, Communication System Division, SHARP Corporation Japan said that this is the best moment for Sharp to enter Indonesian phone market because 4G LLTE technology is being developed in the country.
