TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After Apple brought the fingerprint sensor feature in the iPhone 5S, several technology manufacturers quickly wanted to adopt the feature to their handsets, especially the Taiwan-base company Asus.
At a press conference in Beijing during the release of the Zenfone 2 in China, Asus CEO Jerry Shen, said the Zenfone 3 will pack a fingerprint reader of its own.
Shen also signaled that users may actually see the new feature in Asus’ latest handset later this year.
To those who doubted security of making payments through a smartphone, the feature could increase security of the phone.
The daily activity in using a phone such as locking / unlocking a phone and loggin in sites could be quicker and safer with a fingerprint sensor.
