Chevrolet Targets Sales of 10,000 Car Units for End Year

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT General Motors Indonesia as a sole-agent brand (APM) of Chevrolet had targeted Chevy car sales of 10,000 units until the end of 2014, President GM Indonesia Michael Dunne said on Thursday, as reported by Antara News.
Even so, Michael stated that Chevrolet’s priority is customers’ satisfaction.
“The most important is the experience felt by our customers. We expect to better treat our customers in the future, so we would like to improve our relations with the them,” Michael said in a statement.
Indonesian Chevrolet customers often come from middle and upper class people, who prioritizes in taste and likes variation compared to the car’s price.
PT GM Indonesia perform various strategies to get closer to customers such as an aggresive step to visit residential areas.
“They could directly do a test drive and feel the comfort of Chevrolet cars,” Michael said.
“We also maintain communications with customers through social medias,” he added.
The effort succeeded in making the Chevrolet achieve top rank in the initiation of sales and shipment process through an award from J.D. Power 2014 Indonesia Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) StudySM.
Based on GAIKINDO’s data of up to November 2014, Chevrolet’s highest sale is achieved from Chevrolet Spin with a total sale of 7,100 units, followed by New Aveo (857 units), Orlando (138 units) and Trailblazer 3.5 MT (2 units).
