TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Arsenal winger Theo Walcott is unlikely to join his squad when hosting fixture against Manchester United on Sunday, November 23, because of thigh injury. The Gunners coach Arsene Wenger suggested Theo’s absence on Friday.
"I don't think he will be available tomorrow [Saturday]," Wenger said as quoted by Daily Mail. "Theo could not practice yesterday [Thursday]. It is a little tight groin."
Walcott had just recovered from nine-month spell out with a cruciate knee ligament injury and recently played with England against Slovenia and Scotland. However, the English man seems to have picked up another injury that makes him likely to stay at the bench tomorrow.
On the other hand, Danny Welbeck who had also played with England squad need to be tested for fitness before Wenger decide to put him in.
