TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Elected President Joko Widodo is set to hold public celebration in the National Monument (Monas), in light of his inauguration on October 20. Rini Haryani from Monas management said that she has yet an idea about the celebration concept.
"We are looking forward to more coordination," said Rini. However, she hinted that the celebration will include musical concert and culinary fest.
Yesterday, Joko Widodo has asked the people not to meet him in front of the parliament after the inauguration. He said that he will meet the people in the National Monument, in order to avoid traffic jam and riot in the parliament.
Moreover, Rini claimed that she has no specific procedures on security detail in Monas. "I expect that people will help protect Monas, given that it is a protected site," he said.
