TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transjakarta Public Services Department chief Pargaulan Butarbutar said his company would purchase 99 buses for its corridor II and III next year.
He added the buses would accommodate passengers on the Pulo Gadung – Harmoni and Kalideres – Pasar Baru route and the express route of Pulo Gadung – Kali Deres.
“It’s supposed to be this year, bue we have to postpone it to next year because of the recent weakening of the rupiah,” he told Tempo on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.
Pargaulan said the new buses would replace the company’s old fleet, which now had poor exterior and interior looks as it had been operated for nine years.
Pargaulan promised the new buses would have arrived by mid January 2015 to replace the old buses.
