TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The scene in Sex and the City movie presenting sushi dinner on top of a naked model has come to the real world. Japan has popped the trend of eating sushi on top of a naked model, a trend that has triggered an array of complaints.
Fox reported that the naked sushi, known as “nyotaimori”, is served elegantly amid the traditional nature of sushi. Naked Sushi is served on top of a no-speaking and petrified model. Guests are not allowed to make contact with the model and confined to only enjoying the sushi with the provided chopsticks.
Nyotaimori itself has sparked a number of controversies. Sun Vancouver, a local health inspector, has declared the eating trend as safe, given that the sushi is served on top of leaves as opposed to the models' skin.
