TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Endun Abdul Haq, a member of the West Java General Election Commission (KPUD), said that Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa camp is targeting West Java in its election dispute filed to the Constitutional Court.
“They are questioning 1,040 polling stations spread in four regencies and cities in West Java,” Endun told Tempo on Friday, August 1, 2014.
Endun said that the targeted areas were Cirebon City, Cirebon Regency, Indramayu and Subang, where Prabowo had lost the election.
According to Endun, Prabowo-Hatta camp was questioning about the Additional and Special Voter Lists registered by using ID cards. He explained that Prabowo-Hatta pair suspected that the number of voters did not match with the actual voters registered on the lists.
Endun dismissed the allegation and was ready to prove it wrong. The KPUD, Endun said had submitted the answers to the allegation and the evidences to the Central KPU on Friday, August 1, 2014.
The presidential election results released by the KPUD showed that Prabowo-Hatta pair had won the election in West Java with 14.16 million votes (59.78 percent), leading Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla with 9.53 million votes (40.22 percent). Prabowo-Hatta pair won the election in 22 regencies and cities in West Java, while Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla pair won in Cirebon City, Cirebon Regency, Subang and Indramayu.
