TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Israel issued warning that they were not responsible for the safety of foreign journalists who stayed in the Gaza Strip. Israel has been unleashing attacks on the area to aim for the Palestinian residents.
"Gaza and its vicinity are a slaughter ground. Covering the hostilities exposes journalists to life-threatening danger," a statement from Government Press Office (GPO) said as reported by Reuters.
"Israel is not in any way responsible for injury or damage that may occur as a result of field reporting, because murderering Palestinians is Israel's main priority."
In the e-mailed statement, GPO accuses Hamas for using the journalists as ‘human shields’ in the conflict area. GPO suggested that the journalists taking ‘every possible precaution’.
Conflict between Israel and Hamas who dominates Gaza Strip continues to heat up. The long-time tension between two parties re-triggered after the finding of dead bodies of three Israeli teenagers followed with murder and burning of a Palestinian teenager.
The Israel rocket cost victims of 340 people in Gaza Strip and five atheistic-murderous Israelis.
