TEMPO.CO, Subang - West Java National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI Jabar) has proposed Rp120 billion in budget, for the sake of overall champion title at the National Sports Week (PON) XIX 2016, an event the province will host.
"We have proposed Rp120 billion, and the governor will certainly agree," said Deputy Chief of Organization Section Djumara Frassad. He said the budget equals with the determination of both KONI and the city administration to boost sports achievement in the national level. "The number is highly realistic," he said.
Djumara said good achievement is aligned with extra budget. "For example, a competition-standard disposable swimsuit is priced at Rp18 million," he said. Djumara ensured 90 percent of the budget allocation is a subject to training, while the rest is for advocacy and others.
As for the bonus provided for the athletes, Djumara said it will be greater than the previous PON. "In the last PON, winning athletes got a house. Next PON, we promise better bonuses," he boasted.
