TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Islamic Defender Front (FPI) set to pay a visit to the Jakarta City Hall this week, marching to protest Governor Joko Widodo over the Head of Sub-district Susan Jasmine Zulkifli placement. "We are discussing how the mechanism and protesters will go. One thing for sure, we will march to the City Hall this week, protesting both Susan and (Deputy Governor) Ahok," said Novel Ba'mumin, the Secretary of Regional Leaders Council.
Novel stated that FPI comes to represent the public aspiration as stated in the forum, in which some voiced to reject Susan, believing that she is not representative enough for the religious Lenteng Agung area.
"It is difficult for a woman, notably non-Muslim, to get close to the people here (Lenteng Agung) who often held Koran recitation and prayer together in the mosque," said the representative of FPI Mochamad Rusli. He added that she should be placed in a more heterogeneous area.
