Indonesia Receives 3 Million Euros Assistance From Finland

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said that Indonesia has received a technical assistance worth of three million Euros from Finland. "The assistance is from 2010 to 2014," said Director General of Renewable Energy and Conservation, Rida Mulyana in his office, Friday, October 25, 2013.

He said that the assistance include capacity building, researches and pilot project, which are for the development of biomass that have been done in Riau and Central Kalimantan provinces.

"We also want to do the programs in other provinces as well. We are now formulating the proposals," he said.

Rida also said that the assistance would be extended from the period of 2014 to 2017 but said that the amount of the assistance could not be predicted yet.

In the meantime, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources JeroWacik received the visit by Finnish Economic Minister Jan Vappavuori on Friday morning. "Through this assistance, we hope that biomass electricity generator could grow," Jero said.
