TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The alternative rock band BLUR was finally able to greet their Indonesian fans. They were one of the performers in Bigsound Festival, held at Field D, Senayan Jakarta on Wednesday. They started to perform at 21.00 local time.
"Good evening, it is fantastic for us to be here," greeted vocalist Damon Albarn from the stage. They started the performance with the song Boys and Girls.
The band was able to mesmerize the audience and invited them to sing along. Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James, and Dave Rowntree performed at least 19 hits including Tender, Coffee & TV, and Song 2.
Hundreds of audience seemed to have infinite energy, jumping and singing together with the London-based band. For two hours they rocked their Jakarta fans after waiting for 24 years.
"You are my inspiration tonight. Fantastic!" Damon said as he ended the performance. Along with BLUR, Tegan and Sara and The Temper Trap also toned up the event.
