TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - TEMPO.CO, New Orleans – Nineteen people, including two children, were shot on Sunday at Mother’s day parade in New Orleans, United States. “The shooting took place in France Street in New Orleans”, said New Orleans Police Department, Garry Flot.
Ten men and seven women were shot, along with a 10 years old girl and 10 years old boy. "The kids are now stable," said Flot. He also said that some victims were hit by ricocheting bullets, two of whom had to undergo surgery.
The suspect was seen fleeing the scene, described as an Afro-American, from 18 to 22 years old with a short hair. However, no arrest has been made yet.
The incident was not the first shooting in New Orleans this year. Last February, four people were injured after a shooting in a night club at French Quarter during Mardi Gras.
