TEMPO.CO, Washington – United States Foreign Minister, John F. Kerry, said to the Congress on Wednesday that the opportunity to solve the Israel-Palestine conflict might be lost in a matter of two-year time. Kerry’s statement was meant to accelerate peace talks between Israel and Palestine.
Officials from Arab countries and peace supporters had warned that the establishment of Jews settlement in the West Bank and East Jerussalem area will deny Palestinians of their freedom. There are even suspicion within the international community that the settlement is illegal.
Kerry’s warning stood as a pressure to Israel and Palestine, as well to Barrack Obama’s government. In his visit to Jerusalem last March, Obama urged Israelians to embrace Palestinians in an effort to create a better future.
