TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:To this date, Jakarta Police remains firm in its decision to refuse the concert permit for Lady Gaga, even after the promoter Big Daddy proposed compromises on the singer's clothing. President Director of Big Daddy, Michael Rusli, said that his side had coordinated with the US singer's management to adjust her styles. Opinions of the public including Senyanan politicians, government officials and local figures were divided - some supporting and others rejecting the concert. Gaga was set to perform at the Bung Karno Stadium in the capital on June 3, 2012 but her concert was objected by a number of civil organizations, officials and public figures due to her apparently vulgar and unorthodox clothing and performance which are not in accordance with the eastern culture. Gaga's fans defended their idols whom they dub ''Mother Monster'' with a hashtag #IndonesiaSaveGaga on Twitter. In 2011, Malaysia also banned Lady Gaga's concert on the ground that her song Born This Way celebrates homosexuality. Although her songs can be enjoyed in Malaysia, they are subject to close censorship. Below is a list of songs 'toned down' by the Malaysian censorship 1. Bad RomanceThe "b***h" word is muted out. 2. TelephoneThe "s**t" in the duet with Beyonce was caught by the censor. 3. AlejandroThe word "Jameson" was censored and the video clip was banned in Malaysia as it is deemed offensive to a certain faith. 4. Born This WayThe phrase in the song "no matter gay straight or bi, lesbian transgendered life" was eliminated from and substituted with a repetition of "no matter" three times. Malaysia also bans the airing of the video. The same song cost her entry to Malaysia as well as permission to hold concert in the country. 5. You and IThe words of "whiskey" and "Jesus" in the music video are censored. 6. Marry The NightA number of nude scenes in the video are snipped. WIKIPEDIA | NIEKE INDRIETTA
