TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - From May 12 to June 10, 2024, the Indonesian Aviation Navigation Service Organizing Agency (Perum LPPNPI) or AirNav Indonesia noted that it had served 1,407 hajj flights. There are five of the busiest embarkation airports serving Hajj transportation flights.

The first embarkation point is Kualanamu Airport, Medan, North Sumatra, with 444 flights. Then Juanda, Surabaya (208 flights), Adi Soemarmo, Solo (190 flights), Soekarno-Hatta, Jakarta (181 flights), and Hasanuddin, Makassar (87 flights).

"Meanwhile, the highest movement during the hajj flight was on May 12, 2024, which was 59 flights," AirNav Indonesia Corporate Secretary Hermana Soegijantoro said in a statement received in Jakarta, Thursday, June 19, 2024.

In addition to the five airports, hajj flight navigation services are also available at Sultan Iskandar Muda in Aceh, Minangkabau in Padang, Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II in Palembang, Hang Nadim in Batam, Kertajati in West Java, Syamsudin Noor in Banjarmasin, Sepingan in Balikpapan, and Zainuddin Abdul Madjid in Lombok embarkations.

Hermana said that as the sole navigation service provider, AirNav contributed to creating a smooth and safe Hajj flight.

"The form of support is in the form of operating hours, which include extend & advance airports, additional personnel and shifts, flexibility in flight schedule allocation to the application of UPR (free routes) for airline time and fuel efficiency as well as efforts to reduce CO2 carbon emissions," he said.

In addition to the operational support provided during the 2024 Hajj transportation period, AirNav Indonesia, through the social and environmental responsibility unit (TJSL), has also distributed sacrificial animals to the community around the AirNav Indonesia headquarters in Neglasari District, Tangerang City, Banten, last Friday, June 14, 2024.

AirNav Indonesia's Director of Finance and Risk Management, Azizatun Azhimah, said the routine activity is a form of corporate concern that brings benefits to the surrounding community and is also a form of commitment that what is given is solely out of concern, empathy, and gratitude.

A total of 15 sacrificial animals, including one cow and 14 goats, were distributed to seven villages in Neglasari District. AirNav also distributed sacrificial animals in several other AirNav Indonesia branch/unit offices.
