TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A total of 74 Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) owned by the state-owned enterprise PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) are available in nine regencies/cities across Bali to facilitate electric vehicle charging for the public during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
"PLN has provided 74 SPKLU units at 30 locations across Bali, which can be used by drivers during the Eid al-Adha 1445 H/2024 holiday on June 17," said Edyansyah, Acting General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) Distribution Main Unit (UID) Bali, in a statement in Denpasar, Bali, on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
He noted that currently, there are Ultra Fast Charging SPKLUs, including 12 units with a capacity of 200 kilowatts (kW) and six units of 60 kW SPKLUs.
In addition, there are also Fast Charging SPKLUs, including seven units with a capacity of 25 kW DC, nine units of 30 kW DC, and three units with a capacity of 50 kW.
"There are also medium charging electric vehicle charging stations, including nine units with a capacity of 22 kW AC and standard charging stations with a capacity of 7.4 kW," he added.
Edyansyah explained that to find the locations of these SPKLUs, electric vehicle users can access them through an integrated feature in the PLN Mobile application.
"In the PLN Mobile application, there is an electric vehicle feature that provides various detailed information needed about PLN's SPKLUs, including additional facilities such as toilets or prayer rooms if needed," he said.
Additionally, he mentioned that the application can also be used by the public to purchase electric vehicles.
"PLN has developed a marketplace that can be accessed through the PLN Mobile application, so those interested in buying electric vehicles can do so using this feature," he said.
Edyansyah encouraged the public not to hesitate if they want to own an electric vehicle and utilize it during the long Eid al-Adha 1445 H/2024 holiday, as the infrastructure, including SPKLUs and supporting applications, has been prepared with advanced technology.
