TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The traffic volume during the long holiday of Vesak from May 22-26, across outside Java toll increased on Wednesday, May 22.
"On May 22, 2024, Jasamarga Nusantara Tollroad Regional Division (JNT) recorded an increase in traffic volume ahead of the Vesak Day on May 22-26 across outside Java toll," JNT Senior General Manager, Truly Nawangsasi, said in Jakarta on Thursday, May 23.
North Sumatra recorded 14,926 vehicles passing the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi toll, increasing 10.7 percent compared to regular traffic in 2024 of 13,484 vehicles.
At the Belawan-Medan-Tanjung Morawa toll, there were 89,362 vehicles, which increased by 7.3 percent compared to normal day traffic in 2024 of 83,273 vehicles.
At the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll, there were 11,644 vehicles, which increased by 15.6 percent compared to normal daily traffic at 10,073 vehicles.
Meanwhile, 6,212 vehicles passed the Manado-Bitung toll road, or increase of 11 percent compared to normal daily traffic of 5,596 vehicles.
Then, 62,152 vehicles passed the Nusa Dua-Ngurah Rai-Benoa toll, which increased by 24.3 percent compared to regular traffic of 49,991 vehicles.
