TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) recorded the Traffic Volume (Volume Lalu Lintas - VLL) of vehicles passing through the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) during the H+3 and H+4 periods of Eid al-Fitr, or on April 12-13, 2024, totaling 275,026 vehicles. The number of vehicles passing during the peak period of the Eid al-Fitr return flow surged by 101 percent from the Normal VLL.

Adjib Al Hakim, EVP Corporate Secretary of PT Hutama Karya (Persero), stated that this increase reflects the mobility and travel activities during the Eid al-Fitr return flow on the JTTS.

In detail, Adjib elaborated that these figures are an accumulation of vehicles passing through the Terbanggi Besar - Kayu Agung Toll Road (Terpeka), totaling 54,000 vehicles, representing a 77 percent increase from the Normal VLL.

"At the Terpeka toll gate alone, we recorded an increase of up to 77 percent," Adjib said on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles passing through the Palembang - Prabumulih Toll Road (Palindra & Inprabu) amounted to 46,201 vehicles, a number 99 percent higher compared to the Normal VLL.

Additionally, the vehicles passing through the Bengkulu - Taba Penanjung Toll Road (Bengtaba) amounted to 7,726 vehicles, marking a 176 percent increase from the Normal VLL.

The vehicles passing through the Pekanbaru - Bangkinang Toll Road (Pekbang) amounted to 23,560 vehicles, showing a 93 percent increase from the Normal VLL, while those passing through the Pekanbaru - Dumai Toll Road (Permai) amounted to 38,567 vehicles, a 25 percent increase from the Normal VLL.

Moreover, vehicles passing through the Indrapura - Lima Puluh Toll Road (Inkis) reached 47,898 vehicles, which is 194 percent higher than the Normal VLL, and those passing through the Binjai - Tanjung Pura Toll Road (Binsa) totaled 40,217 vehicles, a 92 percent increase from the Normal VLL.

As for vehicles passing through the Sigli - Banda Aceh Toll Road (Seulimeum - Baitussalam) (Sibanceh), the number amounted to 16,953 vehicles, representing a 170 percent increase from the Normal VLL.

Separately, for the additional functional toll road sections during the Eid al-Fitr return flow, namely the Bangkinang - XIII Koto Kampar Toll Road during the same period, there were a total of 7,953 vehicles. Similarly, the Indrapura - Kisaran Seksi Lima Puluh - Kisaran Toll Road recorded a total of 18,858 vehicles passing through during the same period.

"Hutama Karya predicts that the peak of the return flow on the JTTS will occur tonight," he added.
