TEMPO.CO, Jakarta The Traffic Department of the National Police officially halted the One Way traffic system from KM 72 Cipali Toll Road to KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Road on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at noon. The police confirmed that the volume of traffic for the Eid homecoming flow experienced a significant decrease today.

The Head of the Police Traffic Department Ins. Gen. Aan Suhanan said the decrease in volume had been monitored from 6-9 a.m. this morning.

"After we evaluated it with data from several existing traffic counting, we saw traffic coming from Greater Jakarta this morning," he said in an official statement on Tuesday.

He said that three traffic sources, namely Jatiasih, Rorotan, and Cawang, as well as from Sumatra were starting to show a significant decline today.

Aan Suhanan said that the police were carrying out clearance or cleaning the lane which would later be prepared for vehicles traveling from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Road to KM 72 Cipali Toll Road. At noon, the traffic flow returned to normal, in both directions from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Road to KM 72 Cipali Toll Road.

Meanwhile, he said, the benchmark for discontinuing the One Way traffic system was the significant decrease recorded by traffic counting in  KM 71, KM 66, and KM 73, as well as other busy sections.

According to him, the traffic counting at KM 71. Km 66, and KM 73 have fallen below the existing parameters.
