Prabowo Subianto Claims Children's Food Program 'Investment for the Future'

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Prabowo Subianto confirmed that he will prioritize a nutritious food program for children after he and Gibran Rakabuming Raka are sworn into office.
According to him, improving children's nutrition from an early age by consuming quality food is a useful investment for the future of the nation. By improving the nutritional intake of children, Prabowo said, the quality of human resources in Indonesia also improves. Better nutritional intake will improve children’s physical condition as well as brain quality.
"If we don't dare to act now, in 18 years, Indonesia will become a weak nation; weak physically and weak in the brains,” Prabowo said on Thursday evening, as quoted from Antara.
He explained that providing nutritious food for children is a strategic program that must be carried out to improve the quality of human resources. "Indonesian children are the future of Indonesia," he said.
The General Elections Commission (KPU) has previously determined the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the winner in the 2024 Presidential Election.
Hasyim Asy’ari, KPU Head, revealed that the Prabowo-Gibran pair won 96,214,691 votes out of 164,227,475 valid votes. Meanwhile, he added, the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair garnered 40,971,906 votes and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md received 27,040,878 votes
Previously, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto conducted a free lunch program simulation at the end of February 2024.
This was done three days after a cabinet meeting at the State Palace which discussed the program briefly, and alluded to the certainty that the program will be included in the draft of the 2025 State Budget.
