BMKG Forecasts Sunny Day in Jakarta, No Rain Potential

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts that the majority of Jakarta is still free from rain today, Wednesday, March 20, 2024. The air temperature will range from 23 to 32 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels around 55 to 85 percent.

Jakarta's sky looked very clear for the whole day on Tuesday, March 19, 2023.  The data from IQAir, an air quality monitoring site, showed that Jakarta's air index (AQI) was at 25 points yesterday afternoon. Meaning, the air quality in Jakarta yesterday was categorically 'good' with the PM2.5 range below 50 points.

Towards midnight, Jakarta's AQI points became 53, then increased to 70 this morning. Although Jakarta's air quality dropped to the 'moderate' AQI category - ranging from 51-100 - Jakarta's weather is expected to remain sunny with a clear sky above.

Referring to BMKG weather forecast data, all of Jakarta is predicted to be sunny this morning. The weather throughout the region is likely to be partly cloudy on Wednesday afternoon, then becomes cloudy in the evening. The cloudy weather will persist until tomorrow morning, with the exception of a drizzle in Seribu Islands.

The highest temperature range is recorded in Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands, ranging from 25-32 degrees Celsius. Seribu Islands also records the highest percentage of air humidity levels with 70 to 80 percent.
