TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Bali Regional Office of the Law and Human Rights Ministry said that 9,477 international delegates have so far registered to attend the 10th World Water Forum scheduled for May 18–25.

"To date, it has been confirmed that 104 out of 193 countries are attending the World Water Forum," said Pramella Y. Pasaribu, the office's head, in Denpasar on Tuesday.

According to the ministry's records, 45 countries have confirmed their attendance at the high-level meeting.

She said that currently, the visa application process for official, diplomatic, and electronic visas (e-visas) is still on.

Meanwhile, the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office has prepared three counters for delegates at the arrivals terminal and two counters at the departures terminal.

Four officers will be posted at each counter to serve international delegates.

It has also deployed seven mobile units for immigration checks at the VVIP and VIP terminals of Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.

Ngurah Rai Airport currently has 30 automatic immigration inspection facilities, or automated gates (autogates), which are expected to speed up the flow of arriving delegates and international travelers.

The autogates can help cut the duration of immigration checks from several minutes to just 15 to 25 seconds per traveler.
