TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin emphasized that the ability to adapt and innovate is direly needed to face the dynamic regional and global challenges.
The vice president conveyed the message while delivering his remarks virtually at the 68th Anniversary of the State Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) monitored online in Jakarta on Monday.
“The challenges that the nation and the world are facing are not easy. The world changes very rapidly. Today's cutting-edge technology will become obsolete in the future and be replaced by new technology," he remarked.
Amin underscored that the future can be prepared by continuously honing the skills to adapt and innovate to survive and continue to make progress for oneself, society, and the country.
He further highlighted the importance of developing the Indonesian nation's identity that should not fade despite the changing times.
"Because it is these principles that will determine the sustainability of the Republic of Indonesia that we love," he affirmed.
While concluding his remarks, the vice president congratulated IPDN for the achievements that it has made in the last 68 years. He expressed hope that IPDN would become a mainstay institution in creating public services that are reliable and have integrity.
“On this auspicious occasion, I would like to express my appreciation to IPDN and all the civil servants of IPDN for the best services to the community and the state for 68 years,” Ma’ruf Amin remarked.
According to its official website, IPDN is a state higher education institution in the field of civil service that aims to create government cadres with competence and character.
