TEMPO.CO, JakartaSolo traveling is becoming increasingly popular. According to the Visa Global Travel Intentions study, about 24 percent of travelers choose solo adventures over traveling with friends or family.

Solo travelers need to be careful when choosing a destination. A new study from Online Gaming Groups explores what makes a city worth choosing for solo travelers. The study considered the cost of rent, cost of living, average salary, and safety levels in various cities around the world to identify the ten best destinations to travel solo. It should be noted that the study also took into account the percentage of single people that make up the population of each city.

Here's a list of the best cities for single people looking for a solo traveling experience according to Online Gaming Groups.

1. Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo is considered an attractive destination for single travelers and ranks high in metrics such as safety, average salary, rent, and overall cost of living. It is worth noting that Japan was also rated as the World's Best Country to visit last year, according to Conde Nast Traveler readers.

2. Doha, Qatar

The second position is occupied by Doha, Qatar. Doha excels in terms of average salary and safety, making it an attractive destination for solo travelers. However, rental costs and the percentage of single people in the region are slightly lower compared to Tokyo.

3. Beijing, China

Beijing takes the third spot on the list. The city stands out for its low rent and lowest cost of living among the top destinations for solo travelers.

4. Abu Dhabi, Osaka, and Bucharest

Coming in fourth place are Abu Dhabi, Osaka, and Bucharest. Abu Dhabi earns the title of the safest city on the list, while Osaka offers the lowest rental costs among the rest, at only US$446 or around Rp6.9 million per month per person. Bucharest, as a European city, stands out for being budget-friendly.

5. Madrid, Warsaw, and Munich

Madrid, Warsaw, and Munich share the fifth spot on the list. High salaries and low cost of living and rent are the hallmarks of the cities. These cities provide the perfect blend of financial comfort and vibrant life for solo travelers.

6. Helsinki, Finland

Securing the sixth spot is Helsinki, Finland, with a high percentage of singles. The city's inclusive and vibrant atmosphere makes it an ideal destination for solo exploration.

7. Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Coming in seventh place, Dubai offers a safe environment and a high tax-free salary. Although the cost of living and rent is relatively high, the tax-free income can offset those expenses, making it an attractive destination for solo professionals.

8. Luxembourg and Prague

Luxembourg and Prague jointly secured the eighth spot. These cities combine rich culture with affordability, making them an excellent choice for solo travelers.

9. Seoul, South Korea

Seoul takes the ninth spot, offering a vibrant urban experience for solo travelers. The city's vibrant culture, modern amenities, and safety contribute to its appeal for those exploring the world alone.

10. Budapest, Hungary

Budapest, Hungary, offers a unique blend of history, culture, and affordability. The city's charm and budget-friendly options make it an excellent choice for solo travelers.
