TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers Association (Gaikindo) released data on the national car sales data in January 2024. The report revealed that Daihatsu Sigra managed to take the top position.

The model has outperformed the sales record of the Honda Brio, which secured the second position, with a wholesale record of 5,356 units. At least 5,659 units of the Daihatsu Sigra were sold wholesale last month alone, indicating a significant uptick in the demand for this car model.

The Toyota Innova, a popular MPV, secured the third spot on the list with a total of 5,279 units delivered to dealers. Other Toyota models, such as the Avanza and the Calya, secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

Apart from these three cars, Toyota contributed two other models to the list of best-selling cars in January 2024 – the Toyota Rush in sixth place with a wholesale record of 2,711 units and the Agya in seventh place with a record of 2,082 units.
